When completing activities from below, please consider:
Adult modelling
Lots of repetition
Short bursts of learning (5-10 mins)
Encourage regular sensory/movement breaks
Each week the children will bring home at least one new picture book, phonics flashcards, words or a reading book.
Use a picture book at the beginning of your child's reading journey to establish a reading routine together.
Wordless books are an incredible opportunity to develop oracy skills and support literacy rich conversations.
Use the phonics flashcards to begin to identify the sounds to blend into simple words.
Read together to develop accuracy.

To strengthen your muscles in your hands get some playdough and join in with a familiar Dough Disco video here. By following this link you can find lots of different videos, choose the one you would like to do.
Don't worry if you don't have any playdough at home, you can use a small teddy, a soft ball or a pair of socks made into a ball.
Why don't you challenge each other to read and write sounds, words and numbers from using sensory items for e.g. flour, salt, pasta, shaving foam or in shower gel.
Be creative and get messy!
